The easiest outfit for your first statement ear accessory is probably already in your closet. Choose something you wore recently and liked: a plain sweater, a familiar shirt or the jacket you reach for when you are in a hurry.
Starting there gives you a useful reference. You can see what the ear accessory changes without also trying to judge unfamiliar clothes, a new hairstyle and several other pieces of jewelry.
Choose the outfit before the accessory
Lay out one complete look, including the collar or neckline you will see around the ear. Ask whether you want the accessory to repeat something already present, such as a pale color or a clean geometric shape, or to create a deliberate contrast.
A simple knit leaves room for a decorative face. A structured jacket can work with a more sculptural outline. These are styling proposals, not rules about what a particular person is allowed to wear. Use the clothes you genuinely enjoy, not an outfit you would only put on for the product.
Decide how much you want the ear to show
Electronic Gems has a gem-like decorative face and a clip construction. NEBULA has an ear-hook structure with a more sculptural outline. Compare their side views as well as their front views; the shape from an angle may matter more to you than the straight-on photograph.
You do not have to choose the boldest silhouette to make a visible change. A smaller-looking detail beside an exposed ear can be noticeable, while a larger shape may be partly hidden by hair. Look at the balance within your whole outfit.

Leave some space around it
For the first attempt, let the ear accessory be the main detail near your face. You can leave a necklace off, move another point of interest to a ring, or keep the neckline plain. Then add other pieces only if you miss them.
Avoid turning this into a requirement to stack jewelry on the same ear. A visual combination you like is not proof that two objects can sit together comfortably without touching.
Make the practical check too
OF HUNGER earphones still need to fit, charge and suit your listening environment. Choosing a silhouette for a jacket does not guarantee the wearing method will suit your ears. Read the fit guidance before buying, and remember that open-ear listening does not provide noise cancellation.
If you can picture the pair with an outfit you already repeat, you have a useful place to start. Explore the shapes with that outfit in mind, rather than feeling you need to buy an entirely different version of your wardrobe.
