Open the Electronic Gems case and the decorative faces are presented toward you. That is a deliberate part of the design: the first view emphasizes the gem-like fronts rather than hiding them behind the hardware that supports them on the ear.
It is a small detail, but one worth looking at closely. The case is both a place to charge the earphones and a place where you encounter their appearance before wearing them.
The first view is a presentation choice
The arrangement follows the idea of opening a jewelry box and seeing the decorative part of the object first. Instead of turning each earphone around to find its face, you encounter the pair through the surfaces you chose to wear. The charging function remains, but it does not have to be the first thing you notice.
You can notice the choice each time you open the case. The front of an Electronic Gems earphone is meant to be seen, and the case continues that emphasis while the pair is stored.
The view inside the box is not, however, a shortcut to deciding which ear each piece belongs on. Presentation and wearing orientation have different jobs.
Check the markings when you take them out
Use the left and right markings on the earphones and the supplied guide rather than assuming that the piece appearing on your left in the open case goes straight to your left ear. The face-forward arrangement can make that assumption misleading.
Once you know the correct side, put the clip on gently. The case's layout does not change the wearing method or make the metal structure something to reshape for a different fit.
Return them with the same attention
When putting the earphones away, check their orientation and let each one settle correctly into its place. Do not force the lid down to compensate for an earphone that has not seated properly. Keep the charging contacts dry and follow the guide if the placement seems wrong.
This is where the design detail becomes part of an ordinary habit. Look at the pair, check the side, wear it, then return it with care. The decorative face remains visible, while the practical work of charging still depends on getting the placement right.
