Every piece in the NEBULA Collection is a design fiction — an earphone that begins as a tribute to a work of science fiction. MONOLITH starts with the most iconic object in the genre: the black slab.
The Reference
In science fiction, the monolith is an object of pure geometry. It doesn't move. It doesn't explain itself. It simply exists — rectangular, precise, waiting. Its power lies in what it withholds.
MONOLITH, the earphone, inherits that restraint. Its form is architectural: clean planes, deliberate angles, surfaces that feel carved rather than molded. Where other pieces in the NEBULA series curve and flow, MONOLITH holds still.
The Design Language
The geometry here is intentional. Most ear-worn accessories soften their edges to suggest comfort or approachability. MONOLITH does the opposite. Its angles create shadows. Its planes catch light in flat, controlled reflections. The 18K white gold plating amplifies this effect — the surface doesn't shimmer, it gleams with directional precision.
On the ear, MONOLITH reads as a small piece of architecture. It's the most structured, most deliberate shape in the collection. If NEBULA is organic and STARSHIP is kinetic, MONOLITH is monumental. It takes up space on purpose.
As wearable tech and fashion are converging, MONOLITH chooses restraint over spectacle. It does not soften itself to look more familiar; it lets the geometry stay exact.
Silence as a Design Principle
What makes MONOLITH distinctive isn't just its shape — it's its stillness. The science fiction monolith communicates through presence, not performance. It doesn't need to prove anything. It simply occupies the frame.
We wanted MONOLITH to work the same way on the ear. It's the piece for someone who doesn't want their accessory to announce itself loudly, but who also doesn't want it to disappear. It's visible, but quiet. Present, but not performing.
This is a different kind of statement. Not "look at me" but "I chose this." The geometry speaks. The wearer doesn't have to.
Specs, Briefly
MONOLITH uses the same open-ear, air-conduction architecture as the rest of the NEBULA Collection. 18K white gold plating over copper. Open-ear structure designed for daily wear. No piercing required.
According to the MONOLITH product manual, the model uses a 14.2mm dynamic driver with a HiFi diaphragm. The NEBULA platform lists Bluetooth 5.4, SBC, air conduction with a 3D surround sound field, IPx5 water resistance, an 18-21g weight range depending on form, and 10-12 hours of earphone battery life plus 20 hours from the charging case. Battery capacity is listed as 80mAh per earphone and 500mAh for the case, with Type-C and wireless charging.
