The Electronic Gems collection is that idea made real. Each piece is an AI clip-on earphone named after a natural stone, shaped by the geological character of that stone, and finished with materials that blur the boundary between tech accessory and decorative earbuds.
The Concept: Intelligent Alchemy
Every Electronic Gem begins with a question: what would this mineral look like if it became an electronic life form?
The concept draws from speculative fiction, a future where humanity reinterprets the natural world through technology, transmuting raw planetary materials into intelligent, wearable objects. It's not about imitating gemstones. It's about translating their visual character, their color, their light behavior, their surface texture, into a new kind of object that sits on the ear.
The result is a collection of statement ear cuffs that carry the warmth and depth of natural stone, housed in an electronic body plated in 18K white gold.
Stone by Stone
White Zircon: Frostfire Stone
White Zircon captures the cold clarity of raw zircon, a stone that refracts light with an almost diamond-like intensity. The earphone's surface plays between ice-white and warm metallic tones, creating a finish that shifts depending on the angle and lighting.

Tiger's Eye: Wild Stone
Tiger's Eye draws from the chatoyant shimmer of the real stone, the way golden-brown bands seem to move beneath the surface like light through silk. The earphone translates this into warm, saturated metallic tones with depth and visual weight.

Opal: Elven Stone
Opal references the ethereal play-of-color that makes opal one of the most visually complex stones in nature. The earphone's finish shifts between soft iridescent tones, a surface that feels alive and never quite settles into one color.

Silver-White Zircon: Platinum Stone
Silver-White Zircon takes the cooler end of the zircon spectrum, a refined, platinum-toned finish with quiet metallic depth. It's the most understated of the collection, designed for wearers who prefer restraint.

The Craft
Electronic Gems are not traditional earphones with a decorative shell. The gemstone-inspired aesthetic is integrated into the product's structural design. Surface treatments, electroplating, and material layering are engineered together, not applied afterward.
Each piece uses 18K white gold plating over copper, combined with ABS structural elements and gemstone-cut surface forms. The plating process creates a finish with the warmth and light response of fine jewelry, while the underlying structure houses open-ear audio components: a 13mm dual-magnet dynamic driver, Bluetooth connectivity, and dual-microphone ENC for calls.
The collection earned the A' Design Award Silver in the Wearable Technologies Design category, recognition that reflects the intersection of jewelry craft and audio engineering.
This convergence is part of a broader trend. In the jewelry world, colored gemstones are commanding attention in both casual and formal designs, with statement pieces overtaking minimalist trends. In the audio world, clip-on open-ear earbuds that resemble cuff-style earrings have become a fast-growing product category.
